The Jordan River

This is an actual picture of the Jordan River, I know this may not be the exact place where Jesus was baptized, but my heart leaps every time I look at it.  Just the thought that my Savior stood in this place so many years ago, traveling along this river and leaving the imprints of His feet there. To know that when my Jesus rose out of the water of this river, the heavens were opened and the Spirit of God descended upon Him like a dove. How wonderful it must have been to witness that day. My life is being changed by Jesus everyday. No one will ever know the depth of that, but I have seen the mighty power of God in my life. I have a deep love for Jesus, and once Jesus gets a hold on you, you will never be the same.

Matthew 3:13-17 (KJV)

Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him. But John forbade him, saying I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?  And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all rightousness. Then he suffered him.  And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him. And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
